Please be advised: attendance is open to approved representatives from Mandated Iwi Organisations and their Asset Holding Companies, Recognised Iwi Organisations, Representative Māori Organisations, Te Kāwai Taumata and Te Kāhui o Te Ohu Kai Moana.

10:15am Session #1: Director Appointment Models - Implementation of the Māori Fisheries Amendment Act 2024
We welcome Mandated and Recognised Iwi Organisations, Asset Holding Companies and Representative Māori Organisations to discuss the pathway ahead to 26 July 2026 and beyond. The primary focus for the morning session will be the director appointment committee options for Te Ohu Kai Moana Trustee Limited and Aotearoa Fisheries Limited, and representation models for those appointment committees. We will also have staff on hand to assist representatives with any queries regarding constitutional amendments, or any other matters relating the MFAA in the lead-up to 26 July 2026.

1:15pm Session #2: Understanding Bottom Contact Fishing and the Māori Fisheries Settlement
We invite Mandated and Recognised Iwi Organisations, Asset Holding Companies and Representative Māori Organisations to an open discussion on the practices of bottom contact fishing; with an aim to explore the impacts both now, and into the future from an iwi perspective - as quota owners and kaitiaki.
